About National Golf Club
The National is the first golf course on Turkish Mediterranean, which has been developed with the guidance and in accordance with the standards determined by European PGA and is open to members and day visitors. Carved through a forest of eucalyptus and pine trees with the backdrop of the snow-capped Taurus Mountains and an abundance of natural lakes, The National tests all abilities of players. Since the opening of the National on 18th November 1994, the club has become a popular tourist destination attracting golfers from all corners of the world. European Ryder Cup player David Feherty finalized the design, and many players regard it as his finest course to date. The course itself regularly makes it into lists of the top 100 course in Europe, and it regularly plays host to tournament golf. It certainly offers something special for golfers of all ages and abilities.
The club compliments extensive practice facilities and fully serviced club house. This, coupled with an international management team and PGA golf professionals, ensure that the National rightly takes its place as the leader in Turkish golf, and can put many traditional European competitors to shame.
This is a truly magnificent 1,000,000 m² (6429 m, par 72) course, which is routed thoughtfully across gently rolling terrain and through mature pine and eucalyptus trees and an abundance of natural lakes. The snow-capped Taurus Mountains provide a provocative backdrop especially as the course is bathed in warm sunshine for the vast majority of the year.

Famed for the excellence of its cuisine and service since opening in 1994, tAhe National Golf Club has become the known as the best eating house in the district. The National offers the finest of traditional Turkish cuisine, plus a wide range of both European and Asian dishes. The bar is situated close to the restaurant, so you have the choice to sit in the comfort of the club house or enjoy the sunshine of the terrace. A wide range of Turkish and foreign wines and spirits are available. The unique atmosphere of the National Golf Club facilities is available for private functions, both social or business, ideal for weddings or other anniversary celebrations, and perfect for a very private business dinner. The facilities can cater for up to 100 persons inside the restaurant and additionally on the terrace another 60.

Golf academy
The National offers something special for all levels of golfer. For those just starting out there is a professional team of highly trained PGA Pros who will look after your swing. Following your lesson or game of golf, you can take advantage of the 40-bay driving range, two chipping greens, two putting greens, and practice bunkers. The National Golf Academy is also able to provide comprehensive instruction facilities for whatever golf skills you need to work on.
The academy offers for example special strength training, which also has a contributing effect on consistency, golf swing mechanics, and accuracy. Also, one of the key points to strength training is to specifically strengthen all golf muscles, which in turn will help decrease golf related injuries. Training programs are available for golfers from age of 9 to 70. As Nutrition in golf is also very important and the right diet can help to keep golfers energy level up, to avoid fatiguing during the game, the trainer advise you what to eat before, during, and after a tournament. And last but not least, the National Academy can help golfers with the mental side of game of golf, which is crucial for every sport. NGC Golf Academy provides various methods of mental skill training for every level of players. Club fitting is offered as well.
On the European Tour
Tournaments & Events
The National Golf Club, established in 1994, has been a venue for prestigious golf tournaments. It hosted the PGA European Turkish Seniors Open in 1996 in May 1996, featuring international stars like Bobby Verwey and Tommy Horton. In 1997, the European Seniors returned, with Tommy Horton winning against Maurice Bembridge. The Ladies European Tour arrived in Turkey, concluding with Chloe Leurquin winning the 2014 Mineks Ladies Classic, securing her place in the LET. Oliver Farr claimed victory in the 2014 Turkish Airlines Challenge, with a dramatic birdie on the final hole. Valentine Derrey won the 2012 Turkish Airlines Ladies Open, showcasing her talent in challenging conditions. Since 2008, the Garanti Amex Turkish Ladies Open, later sponsored by Turkish Airlines, has attracted top golfers like Laura Davies and Sophie Gustafson, establishing itself as a premier event in women's golf.

JUNIOR TRAINING
One of the biggest junior golf training programs in Europe is taking place at National Golf Club. Golf training is under the supervision of Bekir Kara, himself a prodigy of National's history of encouraging young players even before the formal formation of the junior program. There are 4 other well experienced coaches working for NGC Junior Academy.
NGC Junior Academy was founded in year 2006 with 12 juniors between 7 and 9 years. Now, in 2013, it holds 80 pupils between 7 and 19. As a result of 7 years training, 15 of them are already playing for the Turkish National Team. Some of the juniors have also qualified to compete in the most prestigious tournaments in Europe, such as Duke of York Challenge, The European Boys and Girls Team Championships, or Young Masters.

Designer: David Feherty
David Feherty (born 13 August 1958) is a former professional golfer on the European Tour and PGA Tour. He now works as a writer and broadcaster with CBS Sports and Golf Channel. Feherty was born in Bangor, County Down, Northern Ireland. He turned professional in 1976 and spent most of his playing career in Europe, where he won five times and finished in the top ten twice in the European Tour's Order of Merit, placing tenth in 1989 and eighth in 1990. He spent 1994 and 1995 playing mainly on the PGA Tour in the U.S., and the best result on the tour was a second-place finish at the 1994 New England Classic.
